Maynooth UX/UI

Learning UX/UI with Adobe XD and Principle

Coming from an advertising background, my skills were tied to traditional means of design and creativity – Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and InDesign. Because of this, I wanted to buff up my repertoire and have an understanding of how to create, design and mockup websites and apps in Adobe XD.

Maynooth Furniture is a fictional client made within Daniel Scott’s UX/UI Skillshare Lesson. He gave students a specific design brief and persona for the Maynooth Furniture project.

Maynooth Furniture

As mentioned a while ago, Maynooth is a fictional client made by Daniel Scott’s UX/UI Skillshare Lesson. The target market of the fictional client is upper-class American women who are in their 50s – mothers who now have the time and money to design their ‘nests’.

With that in mind, I knew exactly how to go about the Wireframe and High Fidelity design – clean lines, bold colors, and littered with eye-catching photos. The goal of the Website and App design is to keep the women pasted on it – I wanted them to have an endless stream of pictures for inspiration ideas and ultimately shopping for furniture to add to their homes.
